About Me

I am a plant scientist and bioinformatician with a PhD in Plant Breeding and Molecular Biology from Ibn Tofail University (Kenitra, Morocco), conducted in partnership with ICARDA (International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas). My doctoral research focused on unraveling the genetic basis of barley resistance to fungal diseases using genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and next-generation sequencing (NGS).

My work bridges classical plant pathology and cutting-edge bioinformatics, combining field experiments across Morocco with advanced computational analyses. I am passionate about leveraging genomics to accelerate crop improvement and food security in arid and semi-arid regions.
